I’ve been quiet this month.

Mostly spending without tracking at all. Not on purpose, but just from being a bit tired of tracking. As a result I think we’ll see that December was an expensive month. Although by the looks of things, I might be okay. I will share the final numbers when the month is out and we will begin tracking again in earnest when January rolls around.

It is a tedious process but budgeting, tracking, and reporting on spending really does have a huge impact on what I actually spending in a month.

The other thing will be to break the big monthly budget into weekly ones and actually use those weekly budgets to determine whether I’m on track to come in under budget.
