Not ready for credit cards

Credit cards give you such a false illusion that you end up spending what you don’t have.

Some people may be better with spending with them but I certainly am not. I started using a credit card again about a month ago with the intention of clearing it fully every month.

Of course what has ended up happening is that I spent more than I had budgeted to spend and created debt. It’s a couple hundred pounds of debt but it proves to me that I’m probably not yet ready for a credit card.

I’m going to pay it off and then stop using it for spending. I will go back to being cash only. I cannot afford to be going back into debt.
